Part-Time Online AP Economics Teacher Position at Bilin Academy

Role Description

This is a part-time, contract, remote role for an Online AP Economics Teacher at Bilin Academy. The teacher's primary responsibilities include delivering AP Microeconomics and/or AP Macroeconomics coursework to students in an online virtual classroom.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Economics, Education, or a related field
• A minimum of 2 years of K–12 teaching experience
• Experience teaching AP Microeconomics and/or AP Macroeconomics
• Strong knowledge of the College Board AP Economics curriculum and exam requirements
• Experience as an AP Reader is preferred
• Demonstrated ability to implement interactive and engaging teaching methods in an online environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A strong commitment to student learning and success
• An understanding and appreciation of cultural diversity in the classroom
• Experience in creating learning materials and curriculum design is a plus
• Availability during our peak time window (5–7 AM Eastern Time, 4–10 PM Eastern Time, or weekends)

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning
• Provide a variety of learning materials and resources for use in educational activities
• Prepare students for AP Economics examinations
• Evaluate students’ performance and development
• Assign and grade classwork, homework, tests, and assignments
• Provide appropriate and constructive feedback on student work
• Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students
• Manage student behavior in the virtual classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures
